Fero makes concrete statement

Fero Group made its presence known at the 25th biennial Concrete Institute of Australia’s conference at Burswood Resort.

The three-day event brought together the construction industry’s heavyweights where the latest in concrete developments and technology were showcased.

Sam Griffiths, Fero’s Sales Manager – Fero Reinforcing, was heading the team at the conference and said Fero’s presence was all about brand awareness into an expanded market.

“This is a very technical conference about performance and results, getting into the nitty gritty of concrete.

“It’s an accredited session for the participants who are interested in the advancements, technology and performance improvements.”

Danley, Ancon and Reid Construction Systems are represented at the conference with Fero the distributor for the first two companies’ products.

Fero’s galvanized reinforcement products are in high demand for their ability to lengthen the life of concrete structures, not being affected by corrosion and rust, Sam said.

“These are performance-based products that increase the life and performance. We are targeting that end of the market with our niche services.”

But the equal main aim of being at the conference was “sheer presence as a brand in the market,” Sam said.

“We have to increase the brand awareness and this conference, held biennially, does not come to Perth often. It’s a premiere event, for all those people interested in performance, concrete knowledge and by people who buy our products.”

There was an excellent representation of constructors who buy from Fero, Sam said.

The event ran from October 12 until 14.
