Queensland exposure continues

Fero Group is continuing to make an impact in Queensland.

Fero was recently a proud major sponsor of the annual Global Manufacturing Group management conference, held at the Sandcastles Resort in the Town of 1770 on the coast in Central Queensland.

About 50 staff and other sponsors attended the event held over two days.

Fero Queensland Galvanising Manager, Nigel Birkhead, attended and conducted a Fero Group presentation with key account manager Russell Knowles.

GMG is a steel fabrication company located in Gladstone and Bundaberg in Queensland, employing more than 100 staff, and is a major Fero client.

Nigel said: “The event was well attended by GMG staff, sponsors, and related companies. This was a great opportunity for Fero to network with GMG and other industry members and companies, and promote Fero’s new state-of-the-art galvanising facility in Brisbane.”

1770 is a small resort style town, about 500km north of Brisbane, with a population of 1600. The town was named by Captain Cook, and was his second landing place in Australia.
