Fero exposure at QLD business forum

May 25, 2012 —

Fero’s thrust into the Queensland market takes on extra impetus next month when Group Sales Manager Philip Martin speaks at a major business forum in Brisbane.

The MESCA Briefing in Brisbane will be on June 6 and it will feature a comprehensive presentation from QCoal's General Manager, Grahame White, on the scope and development of its Byerwen and Drake Coal projects located just south of Collinsville in Queensland's Bowen Basin.

Combined, these projects will attract investment of about $1.85 billion and it is anticipated there will be significant opportunity for local input.

Philip will be keen to push the Fero name in such a competitive environment.

“It’s a good forum to shout about who Fero is. Our state-of-the-art facility galvanising plant servicing the Queensland market is all about investment in Queensland and its people.

“The Franco family has invested $30 million in the galvanising plant. We are investing in manufacturing. We see a future by investing in the latest technology; highly automated manufacturing environment.

“We want Queensland companies to support our investment, especially with our underground mining manufacturing products,” he said.

“It’s all about getting the Fero brand out there in the Queensland marketplace.”

Fero bought Sun State Coatings six years ago and last year changed the name to Fero Galv Queensland.
